In the quiet town of Ambala, India, a story of passion, innovation, and dedication unfolded in the year 1956. Veeto Hobbies (India) came into existence and emerged as one of the most promising and competitive manufacturers of Printing/Stationery Inks and Colours for the domestic market. In 1956, our capacity stood at 10 MT per annum for inks, it currently stands at 60,000 MT per annum for inks and pigments and continues to grow.

A resolute inception

One day, Dr. RL Verma, an artist with a vision, was looking to buy stationery inks to adorn his canvas. An eager shopkeeper presented him with a palette of expensive paints he was unable to afford. He went back home and narrated the incident to his son, Mr. Prem Verma, who was unyielding and a challenger of the status quo and resolved to manufacture inks himself. With that, Veeto was born in 1956, a name that would soon become synonymous with quality and innovation in the world of colours. Its operations started with manufacturing of drawing inks and then artist colours. Soon, Veeto also started trading in fluorescent pigments, and then pioneered manufacturing of fluorescent paints in the 1970s using fluorescent pigments as a raw material.

From its very inception, Veeto Hobbies made it their mission to prioritize quality and development. This unwavering commitment paved the way for rapid progress within the organization. We understood that artistry requires the perfect tools, and Veeto was determined to provide them.

Diversification and growth

In 1995, the company took a significant step by venturing into the manufacturing of Daylight Fluorescent Pigments under the brand Rado Colour Industries. This was a massive lift to backward integrate the fluorescent paints business, and soon became the fastest growing segment between Rado and Veeto, now led by Mr. Vikram Verma – Paints Technologist (Garware Institute /UDCT,Mumbai University). As a part of our dedication to self-sufficiency, we extended our capabilities by producing Fluorescent Dyes. This expansion marked the beginning of a remarkable growth story. Over the decades, Veeto’s journey continued as we diversified our portfolio. The company ventured into the manufacturing of Organic Pigments, Inorganic Pigments, and Night Glow Pigments.
